Job summary

RTX is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to lead the Patriot BMC4I Communications Portfolio in a hybrid US-based role. You will interface with IPTs, the program office, and suppliers to drive material program strategy and execution across cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks.

The ideal candidate has a university degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and experience with PRISM and/or SAP. Strong communication, leadership, and IPT collaboration skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage material program strategy (MPS) and plan (MPP) for Patriot BMC4I.
  • Support Gates 0-11, EAC reviews, and risk/opportunity reviews.
  • Own supplier management processes, metrics, and communications.
  • Support pricing bases of estimates and RFP activities.
  • Lead schedule creation, risk plans, and procurement efforts.
  • Aim for MPM level 4 certification within 1 year.
  • Participate in IPT meetings, PCCB, RORB, and ERB; travel up to 15% domestically.

Job Description

RTX Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) with demonstrated project management skills who will be closely accountable for ensuring supplier performance. You must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program goals, and must be able to successfully interface with varying levels of management. The ideal candidate will have project management skills and be directly accountable for ensuring overall execution of materials management. You will be responsible for executing supply chain strategies and plans. This position requires an individual who will ensure program success to cost/schedule/quality, and partner with Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. This role will have a heavy focus on interfacing with suppliers, supporting the communications portfolios of the Patriot BMC4I program.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, and implement material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP) as required to support the Patriot BMC4I Communications Portfolio.
  • Support for Gates 0-11 activities, EAC review, program review, and risk and opportunity management reviews.
  • Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supply chain metrics, supplier performance, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements.
  • Support supply chain proposal activities including pricing and bases of estimates.
  • Develop, lead, and implement common schedule creation, supply chain proposal activities, and risk/opportunity plans to meet program goals.
  • Commitment to obtain MPM level 4 certification within 1 year of accepting position.
  • Be a member of the program office that participates in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, Program Change Control Board (PCCB), Risk & Opportunity Review Board (RORB), and Engineering Review Board (ERB).
  • Ability to travel up to 15% domestically as required.
Qualifications

Typical Education & Experience: Requires a University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience. Experience with PRISM and/or SAP. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment. Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management. Supply Chain experience in the Defense industry and/or experience working with suppliers. Experience implementing continuous improvement, Six Sigma or Lean methodologies/principals.

Location & Salary

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
