Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a seasoned Material Program Manager (MPM) to support DoD development programs in the Advanced Technologies SBU. Based onsite in Tucson, you will manage material strategies, supplier relations, and EVMS. A U.S. security clearance is required from day one.

Strong program management, financial acumen, and ERP/MRP experience are essential to forecast costs and drive supplier performance across programs.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a supply chain-relevant role (procurement, MRP, cost estimating, or finance).
• Experience with supplier management and/or subcontract management.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance of domestic suppliers, ensuring quality, affordability, and timely delivery of hardware and/or services.
• Develop and execute material strategies that align with program needs and requirements.
• Drive robust material cost, quality, and schedule negotiations across the supplier base.
• Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, guiding Engineering to support timely material procurement.
• Provide accurate forecasting of material costs and manage related financial metrics.
• Monitor and proactively address performance and financial metrics, including cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
• Own the supplier management process, including supplier performance, SCM metrics, Make/Buy/Where strategies, strategic agreements, and compliance with customer flow-through requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR, public law).
• This role will be onsite one of our Tucson, AZ locations.
