Koch Engineered Solutions' DEPCOM Power is seeking a Material Process Manager - Field Operations to lead site material management, optimize receiving, staging, and installation readiness across active project sites.

You will partner with Construction, Operations, Logistics, Procurement and Safety to standardize processes, drive KPIs, and reduce waste using principle-based management. Domestic travel will be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Construction Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 4-5+ years of experience in construction logistics, field operations, supply chain, material management, warehouse operations, project controls, or related disciplines, with demonstrated success leading process improvement and cross-functional operational initiatives that support site logistics and field material flow.
  • Strong understanding of construction site execution, receiving, staging, laydown planning, material movement, documentation, inventory transactions, and field storage requirements.
  • Experience developing SOPs, standard work, KPI routines, training materials, process controls, dashboards, or operational reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across construction, logistics, warehouse, procurement, and project teams to solve field execution problems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve site material management processes, ensuring efficient receiving, staging, storage, movement, and installation readiness across project sites.
  • Partner with Construction, Operations, and Logistics teams to align material flow with project schedules, workface planning, and field execution needs.
  • Drive consistency in field material handling, inventory controls, documentation, receiving practices, and compliance with logistics standards.
  • Remove material flow constraints by collaborating with field leadership, planning, warehouse, fleet, procurement, and supply chain teams to support safe, productive project execution.
  • Monitor material readiness and logistics performance through KPIs, dashboards, and operating reviews, identifying opportunities to improve reliability, productivity, and project outcomes.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that reduce waste, strengthen governance, and enhance field material management practices across sites.
  • Develop training, coach field teams on logistics standards, and support adoption of new processes, systems, and continuous improvement efforts

Material Process Manager - Field Operations

The Material Process Manager, Field Operations leads the process discipline, standard work, and performance routines that support material flow and logistics execution at active project sites.


This role partners with Construction/Operations, Site Logistics, Logistics Strategy and Process, Logistics Planning, Warehouse, Fleet and Assets, Procurement, Safety, Quality, Project Teams to improve how materials are received, staged, controlled, moved, documented, and made ready for field installation.


Through Principle-Based Management (PBM), the Material Process Manager creates value by improving field material readiness, reducing execution barriers, strengthening handoffs between logistics and construction, and ensuring site-level logistics processes are scalable, practical, and consistently followed.

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Construction Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • 4-5+ years of experience in construction logistics, field operations, supply chain, material management, warehouse operations, project controls, or related disciplines, with demonstrated success leading process improvement and cross-functional operational initiatives that support site logistics and field material flow.

  • Strong understanding of construction site execution, receiving, staging, laydown planning, material movement, documentation, inventory transactions, and field storage requirements.

  • Experience developing SOPs, standard work, KPI routines, training materials, process controls, dashboards, or operational reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to work across construction, logistics, warehouse, procurement, and project teams to solve field execution problems.

  • This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.


What Will Put You Ahead


  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or related experience.

  • APICS, CSCP, CPSM, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, OSHA, NCCER, or related professional certifications.

  • Experience in utility-scale solar, EPC, renewable energy, industrial construction, or large infrastructure project environments.

  • Experience with ERP, field reporting, inventory control, logistics planning, WMS, TMS, project management, or material tracking systems.

  • Experience supporting multi-project field logistics, regional site operations, construction material planning, or material flow programs.


Physical & Travel Requirements


  • Ability to travel domestically to project sites, warehouse facilities, vendor locations, and corporate offices as needed.

  • Ability to work in active construction, field logistics, warehouse, and industrial environments.

  • Ability to conduct field observations and operational reviews in varying site and weather conditions.

  • Must be able to meet applicable site access, PPE, and safety requirements.
