Job Overview

Primary Responsibilities

• Works closely with MRP Production Planners and other functional teammates to include Strategic Sourcing, engineering, quality, and planning & control.
• Works with MRP Production Planners to Identify and mitigate supplier risk
• Ensure purchase orders are confirmed, deliveries are scheduled and maintained to meet production requirements
• Work with different departments to place orders, verify hardware, manage requisitions, and determine expected delivery dates to inform Project Managers of potential delays.
• Engages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain order status and maintain open order tracker.
• Handles additional ad hoc tasks the supervisor assigns.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant work experience or a Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant work experience. In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience will be considered
• Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or purchasing activities, including experience managing production work orders.
• Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
• Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
