Flex is seeking a data-focused professional to maintain materials and purchasing data, support supply chain metrics, and coordinate supplier documentation. The role includes creating reports, updating master data, and generating weekly purchase orders to service client needs.

The ideal candidate has a background in electronics manufacturing, at least 3 years in materials, and strong Excel skills to drive KPI accuracy and data-driven decisions.

General Purpose

In charge of maintaining materials/purchasing data, supply data and information to other production departments, coordinate contracts, maintain Certificates of Conformance for all suppliers, and create and maintain outsources parts schedules.

Principle Accountabilities

• Assists in auditing data for accuracy and preparing summary reports, spreadsheets, graphics and charts based on the research of data.
• May assist in the preparation of recommendations to management based on the research of data.
• Collects, compiles, and presents various types of data.
• Prepares summary reports, spreadsheets, and charts based on research of data from multiple sources, which may include but will not be limited to customer bills of material reports, staff metrics, PPV metrics, and PPV form tracking.
• May create and/or maintain databases to support data collection.
• Audits data. Resolves data integrity issues, including but not limited to quotations.
• Proactively identifies and escalates potential issues related to metrics.
• Will suggest process/communication improvements relative – where applicable – to metric tracking activities.
• Tracks materials financial performance and initiate corrective actions when required.
• Daily review of RMA transactions.
• Create weekly purchase orders including all client parts.
• Receive data entry for clients.
• Update content list and item master.
• Window to client material (consigned parts) supply.
• Window to client bulk RMA service.
• Specialized Job: May be required for certain positions. These could include one or more of the following duties:
• May hold up inventory control, supply chain management, material planning and scheduling.
• Provide detailed bill of materials research by site.
• Perform general reporting and activities for score carding of suppliers.
• Assist in the supply chain transfer and risk management for NPI.
• Provide PPV targeting, tracking and asset velocity.
• Design, manage and control all data research tools
• Create and maintain production order based on deviations.

Education / Experience

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• A background in electronics manufacturing is desired.
• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in materials or related field.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Must have excellent analytical experience with supply and demand reports.
• Must have experience with work order consumption.
• Excel experience / proficiency is a must (e.g. v-lookups, pivots, sum-if’s)
• Proficient in MS office applications.
• Above experience must be out of manufacturing companies.
