Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Material Planning Analyst to join its global logistics automation team in the United States. You will partner with material management to design end-to-end data models, build automated tooling, and enable data-driven decision making across planning and procurement.

You will own end-to-end solutions from framing the problem to shipping and maintaining the results, combining hands-on data work with practical supply chain judgment in a builder role close to the operation.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in supply chain analytics or data engineering.
• Experience with Databricks, SQL notebooks, and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Power Platform and Power BI (DAX) for modeling and reports.
• Willingness to sit with users and learn from operations.

About the role

Supply chain runs on systems that rarely fit together as well as they should. Planners and buyers fill the gaps by hand, and that manual work sets the ceiling on what the team can do. This role exists to raise that ceiling. You work alongside the material management team, learn how the domain actually operates, and build the data models, applications, and automation that change how the work gets done. You write the queries, build the tool, put it in front of the people who will use it, and change it based on what you learn. Half the job is data and software. The other half is judgment about supply chain, earned by sitting with the people who run it. This is a builder role with a seat close to the operation. You own problems end to end, from framing what is actually wrong to shipping and maintaining the answer. What you will do:

• Understand the domain: Learn how material flows through the business, where decisions are made, and where the current process depends on people compensating for tooling.
• Model the data: Establish reliable, shared definitions for the metrics the team runs on, so that reporting and decisions come from a single source of truth.
• Build: Develop solutions on Databricks and the Power Platform that go into daily use. Take responsibility for them once they are live, which includes monitoring, fixing, and iterating.
• Improve the process: Measure how the work happens today and propose changes with evidence behind them. Some answers are software. Some are a changed step, a clearer rule or a new process all together.
• Work across teams: Partner with the teams that material flow touches, and translate between what the operation needs and what the systems can do.

What you need

• Three or more years in supply chain, operations analytics, data engineering, or a similar role where you built things for people who are not analysts
• Databricks: SQL, notebooks, building and maintaining pipelines
• Power Platform: Power Automate, Power Apps, and Copilot Studio
• Power BI: data modeling, DAX, and report development
• Working knowledge of supply chain fundamentals, including planning logic, procurement flows, and inventory concepts such as safety stock, lead time, and on-time delivery
• Willingness to sit with users, ask basic questions, and be told you're wrong
• Useful but not required Background in manufacturing, logistics, or project-based supply chains
