Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Materials Planner in Grand Rapids, MI to manage raw material and component purchases, ensuring timely delivery to support assembly operations. You will collaborate with procurement, logistics, scheduling, engineering, quality, finance and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.

The role requires experience in supply chain planning or related areas, ERP proficiency, and strong communication with suppliers.

Qualifications

Experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, logistics, or purchasing.
Exposure to manufacturing, quality control, production planning, warehousing, or inventory control.
Experience with major ERP platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication with suppliers.

Responsibilities

Plan purchased raw materials and components to maintain optimal inventory.
Partner with procurement, logistics, scheduling, engineering, and assembly operations.
Expedite, defer, or cancel deliveries and manage supplier compliance.
Resolve issues related to purchases, pricing discrepancies, and receipts.
Support inventory data accuracy and operational effectiveness.
Engage in life-cycle initiatives for design changes and supplier sourcing.
Participate in lean problem-solving projects to create standard work.
