Job summary

Lumilens is seeking a detail-oriented Material Planner in San Jose, CA to execute day-to-day material planning and procurement activities for prototypes, pilots, and production builds. You will run MRP, place and track POs, and monitor supplier deliveries to ensure on-time execution.

The role focuses on execution with close collaboration with the Planning Manager and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with materials planning and supply chain.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Run MRP and translate net requirements into purchase orders.
• Place, track, and expedite purchase orders to meet build schedules.
• Monitor PO status daily and follow up with suppliers for delays.
• Maintain system data for lead times, quantities, and safety stock.
• Identify shortages and escalate to prevent schedule risk.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on BOM changes.
• Generate delivery and inventory reports for reviews.
