Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Material Planner to manage sourced finished goods and ensure timely delivery to distribution centers. You will collaborate with procurement, product management, sales, and logistics to meet inventory and service goals.

The role requires strong planning experience, ERP/Planning tool familiarity, and excellent communication with suppliers. Onsite work is required in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, logistics, or purchasing.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, quality control, production planning, warehousing, or inventory control.
  • Experience with ERP/ planning software such as Servigistics.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan purchased finished goods to maintain optimal inventory levels to support sales revenue and inventory goals.
  • Partner with procurement, supplier representatives, product management, sales, logistics, and warehouse operations.
  • Implement corrective actions to meet customer service and material availability targets.
  • Resolve issues related to purchases, pricing discrepancies, and receipt-to-invoice reconciliation.
  • Support inventory management, data accuracy and operational effectiveness.
  • Contribute to product life-cycle initiatives and supplier sourcing changes.
  • Participate in lean problem-solving projects to create standard work.

What's In It For You

As a Material Planner with Trane Technologies, we will call on you to collaborate with other teams to solve problems, and to improve processes and key metrics. Your crucial responsibility will be to manage sourced finished goods purchases and to ensure their timely delivery to the distribution centers to support sales.

What You Will Do
  • Plan purchased finished goods to maintain optimal inventory levels to support sales revenue and inventory goals.
  • Active partnership with procurement, supplier representatives, product management, sales, logistics, order management, SIOP, engineering, quality, finance and warehouse operations.
  • Implement corrective actions and counter measures to meet customer service and material availability targets.
  • Resolve problems related to purchases, pricing discrepancies, and receipt-to-invoice reconciliation.
  • Support inventory management, data accuracy and operational effectiveness.
  • Engage in product life-cycle initiatives associated with design modifications, value-engineering and supplier sourcing changes.
  • Participate in lean problem-solving projects and events to create sustainable standard work.
What You Will Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, logistics, or purchasing.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, quality control, production planning, warehousing, or inventory control.
  • Experience with ERP platforms or planning software such as Servigistics.
  • Experience with Excel
  • Great written and verbal communication skills – you’ll be sending lots of emails to suppliers!
