Job summary

SL TENNESSEE seeks an Inventory Planner to manage outsourced components, PO processing in SAP, and daily inventory control. You will liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and accuracy of invoices, while supporting month-end closings and warehouse operations.

Requirements include familiarity with SAP MM, strong communication skills, and a preference for automotive manufacturing exposure. This role is on-site in Clinton, TN.

Qualifications

• 1 year of automotive manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• SAP MM knowledge; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Order and plan outsourced components to meet customer requirements while maintaining stock levels.
• Create, edit, and manage purchase orders to suppliers.
• Monitor delivery accuracy vs. PO daily with suppliers.
• Verify invoices against packing slips and enter in SAP.
• Oversee outsourced component inventory daily.
• Use SAP Material Master: create, edit, manage.
• Close daily in SAP; resolve GR/IR and COGI errors.
• Participate in inventory reduction, downtime BEP, or TFT activities.
• Coordinate WMS activities with Receiving Warehouse.
• Assist training on WMS or SAP for Receiving staff.
• Plan supplier truck deliveries daily.
• Assist in monthly financial closings.
• Lead CSWRTP activities related to outsourced parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant/Manager.

• Order purchased components needed to fulfill customer requirements while meeting standard stock levels and managing the inventory.

Responsibilities

• Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly Outsourced Component Planning to Fulfill Customer Requirements
• Create, edit, and manage PO's to the Suppliers
• Daily Management of Supplier Delivery Accuracy versus PO
• Manage Associate Planners in Verifying Invoices with Packing Slips & Entering in SAP
• Daily Management of Outsourced Component Inventory
• SAP Material Master Functions (Create, edit, manage)
• Daily Closing Activities in SAP, clearing backlogs in COGI & GR/GI Errors
• Actively participate in inventory reduction or downtime BEP or TFT activities
• Daily Management of WMS through collaboration with the Receiving Warehouse
• Assist in training of any WMS or SAP functions for Receiving Warehouse personnel
• Daily planning for Supplier truck deliveries
• Assist in financial monthly closing activities
• Lead CSWRTP activities related to outsourced parts
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Assistant Manager or Manager
