At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $69,740 - $91,309. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.

The Material Planner plays a critical role within the value stream organization, responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material availability to support production while optimizing inventory levels. The Material Planner is accountable for clear-to-build (CTB) management, balancing demand and supply, forecasting material requirements, and maintaining optimal stocking strategies. This position serves as a key problem solver within Oracle ERP and provides material readiness guidance to scheduling teams to support on-time production execution.
Maintain Clear-to-Build (CTB) status to ensure production readiness across the value stream.
Proactively identify material constraints and partner with other members of the team to drive resolution to prevent production disruptions.
Align material availability with production schedules and customer demand.
Analyze demand signals and translate them into accurate material requirements.
Balance supply and demand through effective planning, prioritization, and scenario analysis.
Adjust plans in response to demand changes, supply disruptions, or inventory imbalances.
Develop and maintain material forecasts based on production plans, historical usage, and demand variability.
Establish and manage safety stock and stocking levels to ensure optimal inventory investment while minimizing risk.
Monitor inventory health (excess, obsolete, and slow-moving materials) and drive corrective actions.
Utilize Oracle ERP for material planning, purchase requisitions, inventory tracking, and data accuracy.
Troubleshoot and resolve planning and system-related issues within Oracle.
Ensure accurate master data (BOMs, lead times, planning parameters) to support effective planning.
Support purchase order management, expedite critical materials, and mitigate shortages.
Initiate root cause analysis and corrective actions for material shortages and supply interruptions.
Make recommendations that drive continuous improvement in planning processes, inventory accuracy, and system utilization.
Implement best practices such as JIT, Kanban, and lean material flow concepts where applicable.
