We are hiring a Material Planner at our plant in Sparta who will be responsible for the management and control of production planning and scheduling for work-in-process and finished goods. This includes but is not limited to establishing and monitoring inventory levels against forecasts (to achieve targeted company service levels), minimizing the company’s investment in inventory, scheduling and coordinating material production and delivery in order to achieve customer satisfaction with available product for on-time deliveries.

What you will do:

  1. Forecast / plan and manage inventory turns
  2. Work with the Supply Chain Buyer to ensure on-time material supply and on-time product delivery
  3. Utilize internal planning software; participate actively on the global team
  4. Develop and implement short-term and long-term production planning to meet company requirements
  5. Ensure customer delivery commitments on make-to-order products
  6. Establish inventory stocking levels and system forecasts that support both customer demand as well as inventory targets
  7. Create production schedules that will optimize requirements, reduce cycle times, and minimize inventories
  8. Execute inventory deployment throughout appropriate tesa warehouses
  9. Maintain master data integrity within SAP
  10. Resolve inventory discrepancies
  11. Analyze inventories for obsolescence and recommend and/or implement solutions
  12. Support new product launches
  13. Other duties as assigned
What you will need:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Must have experience with MRP reports, data entry, and interpretation of data, preferably in SAP
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  4. Must be highly organized and able to multi-task
  5. Must be able to work within the framework of 6S, ISO, and IATF requirements
