Role: Material Planner – Apparel & Accessories
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Location: Beaverton, OR (Onsite)
We're hiring a Material Planner to own the materials plan for a global consumer products leader's apparel and accessories business — one sport, one material class alignment, full accountability.
What you’ll own
- Sport-level material forecasts — translating finished goods demand into actionable material supply requirements
- Plan health across the seasonal cadence: forecast completeness, accuracy, and fidelity
- Segmentation and service levels that decide what gets prioritized and why
- Lead-time, commitment, and staging strategies that de-risk long lead-time materials
- The cross-functional table — Materials Sourcing, Supplier Management, Material Development, Costing, Merch Planning, and Tier 2 partners
What you bring (must)
- 6+ years in materials, supply, or production planning
- MRP, demand translation, production, and capacity management
- Proven ownership of forecast accuracy and plan health
- Segmentation, service levels, and risk assessment experience
- Strong analytics plus the communication skills to influence without authority
- Bachelor’s in supply chain, Planning, Manufacturing, or Logistics — or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Apparel, footwear, or high-SKU consumer goods background
- Materials segmentation, Critical Materials Tracking, or o9 Materials Forecast
- Experience leading project teams or driving change adoption
- Experience aligning cross-cultural, virtual teams
