Job summary

Heraeus in Wartburg, TN seeks a production associate to support manufacturing operations in the precious metals division. The role emphasizes data recording, monitoring process indicators, and ensuring materials are prepared, weighed, and shipped per specifications.

You will maintain logs, follow sampling protocols for analytical testing, and keep a clean, orderly work area while supporting the Shift Lead and production schedule.

Qualifications

• Record production or process data and maintain logs.
• Observe and record key process indicators and adjust controls to maintain temperatures.
• Maintain material accountability during preparation and production.
• Follow sampling protocol for analytical testing.
• Organize the materials into drums to be closed, sealed and weighed prior to shipment.
• Develop knowledge of chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo.
• Production and Processing – understand raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional work area and use equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

• Lend every assistance to assure the success of our sales network, by maintaining open and accurate communications with all operators and the Shift Lead Person.
• Record production or process data and maintain logs, as required.
• Observe and record key process indicators such as air and temperature gauges or metal color and fluidity and turn fuel valves or adjust controls to maintain required temperatures.
• Maintain material accountability during preparation and production by utilization of scales or other measuring equipment in compliance with standard procedures.
• Possess the ability to accurately follow sampling protocol for analytical testing
• Organize the materials into drums to be closed, sealed and weighed prior to shipment according to customer and company specifications.
• Chemistry – Develop knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo.
• Production and Processing – Develop knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional work area and use equipment and materials properly.
