Job summary

Silgan Plastics in Monroe, GA is seeking a safety-conscious forklift operator to support manufacturing operations. You will drive lift trucks, move raw materials to the floor, and transfer finished goods to the warehouse, all while following GMP and housekeeping standards.

This on-site role requires awareness of hazards, accurate scanning, and occasional cycle counts. The ideal candidate understands safety requirements and can operate the Highjump barcode system.

Qualifications

• Must follow GMP and housekeeping standards.
• Awareness of slip/trips/falls and people.
• Safe driving techniques while operating a lift.
• Understand and adhere to all safety requirements.
• Accurate scanning of incoming and outgoing product.
• Cycle counts/inventories performed occasionally.
• Move raw materials to manufacturing floor and finished goods to warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Drive lift trucks - clamp and fork.
• Bring raw materials to the manufacturing floor.
• Take finished product to the warehouse for storage.
• Occasionally perform cycle count/inventories.
• Accurate scanning of product in production area.
• Use Highjump barcode system as needed.

• Proper use of LOTO
• Understand and adhere to all safety requirements.

• Occasionally perform cycle count/inventories.
• Accurate scanning of incoming and outgoing product to and from production area.
• Basic skills with Highjump barcode system.
