Job description

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Constructive Renovations, this position manages the procurement, inventory, and logistics of materials used for residential interior design projects. This role ensures timely availability of quality materials, cost-effective purchasing, and efficient coordination with vendors and construction teams to meet project timelines.

Additionally, this role partners with clients, designers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure materials meet design specifications and budgets while facilitating timely selections. This position develops and presents professional solutions to streamline material orders and selections and supports the estimator and sales team by coordinating finished product selections.

What will you do for Constructive Renovations:
  • Develop and implement material requirement plans based on project schedules and design specifications.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships for purchasing materials, including flooring, fixtures, fabrics, lighting, cabinetry, and hardware.
  • Collaborate with interior designers to ensure materials align with project aesthetics and standards.
  • Manage the storage and inventory of materials, ensuring accuracy, minimizing waste, and maintaining adequate stock levels to avoid delays in project timelines.
  • Monitor material expenses to ensure they remain within the project budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of material orders, deliveries, inventory levels, and expenditures.
  • Ensure all materials are documented according to project specifications and compliance regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely deliveries.
  • Partner with clients, interior designers, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless communication and execution of material logistics.
  • Develop domain knowledge of Fay’s business to include an understanding of organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Fay’s policies, processes, and practices. Successfully complete all department and company-required training.
  • Model Fay’s Values, Operating Principles, ethical standards, professionalism, and code of conduct.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that align with Fay's Values and Operating Principles.
What you will bring to Constructive Renovations:
  • High school diploma or GED Required, Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the renovation or construction industry.
  • 2+ years’ experience in sales.
  • Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, HOA, and building codes.
  • Working knowledge of styles, trends, and color balancing within the specific market location.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Client-focused with a strong sense of aesthetics, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Experience in residential or commercial renovation projects is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to facilitate meetings and effectively lead discussions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to explain decisions and the reasons why to promote understanding and buy-in with others.
