PIH Health in Henderson, NV is seeking an experienced perioperative nurse to support ambulatory surgical services. The role requires current NV nursing license and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification, plus knowledge of aseptic technique and patient care.
Candidates should have strong teaching, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to changing medical priorities and coordinate with physicians and staff in a fast-paced setting.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
CurrentNV Nursing License
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
Understand the principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
Ability to care for patients with changing medical priorities and ability to respond accordingly
Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors
Ability to quickly adapt to the changing conditions of the patient when needed
Excellent teaching skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK)
Strong customer service skills
Demonstrate accountability, creativity, innovation and be receptive to change
Possess basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology

Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU
