Qualifications

  • Proficient computer skills and quality‑control experience.

  • Experience with spectrometer or tensile tester is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Verify properties of aluminum and steel using spectrometer, tensile tester, and conductivity tester.
  • Prepare metallurgical samples for review by a qualified metallurgist.
  • Utilize a lathe to create clean, smooth surfaces for testing.
  • Perform maintenance on testing equipment and log data accurately.
  • Process casting materials that have been deemed ready for rework and perform testing on dry and green sand samples.
  • Collaborate with all departments to ensure products move through the lab quickly while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Assist in training on 1st shift and transition to 2nd shift long‑term.
