Work Performed:

1. Receives material and parts from transportation representatives and checks truck driver’s bill of lading after a physical check of items received.
2. Works from Purchase Order, Material Shipping Order, C.A.A. Tag, and Vendors’ lists. Checks items received against these documents, which may involve physical count or weight count. Certifies each order as to quantity or weight of shipment after each check. May help unpack items. Delivers materials to department inspectors.
3. Performs manual and clerical tasks involved in storing and disbursing aircraft materials, supplies, and equipment.
4. Ensures the efficient and orderly operation of a stockroom. Receives and stores a variety of materials, supplies, parts, and tools. Selects and identifies suitable storage locations such as shelves, bins, containers, and racks.
5. Fills orders according to disbursement requisitions, reports critical shortages, and stocks below minimum requirements. Traces stock shortages within the stockroom by physical checking for articles.
6. Keeps a perpetual inventory record of stock on hand and makes periodic inventories for accounting records. May use a typewriter for setting up and maintaining records.
7. Operates a forklift to load, move, lift, and stack large or heavy articles. Forklift experience and certification are required.

Experience & Other Requirements:

Minimum of one year of experience as a Receiving Clerk, Stock Clerk, or related clerical role. Forklift certification required.
