LiftOne in Birmingham, AL is seeking a results-driven Account Executive to grow profitable revenue by selling material handling equipment, service programs, and rental power solutions.

You’ll map territory plans, lead demos, respond to RFPs, and tailor financing options while building long-term customer relationships. Strong communication, technical sales experience, and a valid driver’s license are required to thrive in this dynamic role.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred—or extensive related experience in a technical discipline.
  • Proven success in industrial services or technical sales with a documented record of results.

Responsabilités

  • Own a territory plan—identify, qualify, and win new business while expanding relationships within assigned accounts.
  • Ensure the right application and distribution of equipment and services to meet customer needs—and the satisfaction to match.
  • Act as a trusted advisor who understands each customer’s operation and long-term goals.
  • Deliver compelling demos and presentations that make the case for change: why change, why now, and why you and CTE are uniquely positioned to deliver.
  • Spot opportunities for risk reduction, cost savings, and profitable growth—and recommend improvements.
  • Track market trends and competitive activity to inform strategy.
  • Answer RFPs with precision, contributing technical solutions that stand out.
  • Analyze equipment economics in the customer’s environment; engineer or propose changes to equipment, processes, or services.
  • Structure and calculate financing options tailored to varied customer needs.
  • Develop a strong grasp of customers’ business drivers: inventory, asset management, ROI, and financial statements.
  • Document every interaction from first call to close and follow-up in CRM and quoting tools.
  • Pitch in on other duties as assigned—team wins matter.

Step Into a Day at LiftOne

By 8 a.m., you’re mapping your territory plan, prioritizing accounts that can benefit from a smarter lift-truck fleet, a preventive maintenance contract, or a right-sized rental power program. Before lunch, you’re in a customer’s warehouse, observing workflows and calculating cost/benefit ratios to recommend equipment and service program changes. That afternoon, you finalize an estimate, craft a proposal with technical specifications, and log every touchpoint in the CRM—moving the deal from first meeting toward a confident close.

Tools & Skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or a comparable CRM.
  • High mechanical aptitude for equipment and processes.
Communication, Math & Reasoning
  • Comfort reading safety, operations, and maintenance documentation; able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to compute discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Capable of solving practical problems with limited standardization and interpreting written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
Physical Demands

Expect to stand, walk, use hands, reach with arms, and speak/hear regularly; frequent sitting. You’ll often lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move up to 25 pounds. Vision needs include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Depending on site, you may encounter moving mechanical parts/equipment; occasional heights; fumes or airborne particles; outdoor weather; vibration; wet/humid conditions; toxic/caustic chemicals; extreme cold/heat; and risk of electrical shock. Noise can at times be loud.
