PFERD in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Material Handling Operator for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri 6:30AM-2:30PM) to maintain production and distribution by pulling orders from inventory and delivering materials.

You will stage finished product, verify lot numbers, and support inventory control while adhering to safety standards. Candidates should have 1-2 years of material handling experience and forklift expertise.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required.
  • 1–2 years of material handling experience.
  • Must have standing forklift experience.
  • Sit-down forklift and cherry picker experience is a plus.
  • Team oriented and organized with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle complex tasks and analyze information.
  • Deadline- and time-management oriented.
  • Strong inventory control and safe work practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
  • Locates materials by pulling and verifying against production orders.
  • Maintains in-process inventory by delivering materials to work centers.
  • Documents materials disposition by recording units delivered and their location.
  • Receives material from production by verifying codes and lot numbers; stores in stock.
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Your Role in Our Success

At PFERD as a Material Handling Operator (1st shift Monday - Friday 6:30AM - 2:30PM) you will maintain production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
  • Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering materials and supplies.
  • Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered to and from production and location of units.
  • Receives material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
