Job summary

Gentex Corporation in Manchester, NH seeks a Material Handling & Logistics Supervisor to oversee receiving, inventory, issuing, and shipping. You will manage stockroom movement of finished goods and parts, coordinate with buyers and sales, and drive process improvements to meet deadlines.

The role requires at least 5 years in shipping/receiving, strong Excel/Outlook skills, and knowledge of Incoterms. SAP experience is preferred; UPS/FedEx software knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in shipping/receiving.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of UPS World Ship and FedEx Ship Manager is a plus.
• Import/Export logistics experience and Incoterms knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise receiving, inventory, issuing, shipping materials and equipment.
• Manage movement of finished goods and parts within stockroom.
• Daily data entry and material handling supervision.
• Optimize stockroom layout for turnover and size/weight considerations.
• Coordinate with Buyers on invoicing and receipt issues.
• Support continuous process improvement and cycle counts.
• Ensure records accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Assist with budget management and department scheduling.
• Collaborate with Sales/Customer service for orders and requests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

ABOUT THE JOB!

The Material Handling & Logistics Supervisor will supervise and coordinate activities of receiving, inventory, issuing, shipping materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. This position manages movement of finished goods and parts within the stockroom.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs daily management of material handling, shipping, receiving, and data entry.
• Manage layout of stockroom considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping materials.
• Maintain and review records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures.
• Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
• Support and drive continuous process improvement
• Process both customer and vendor returns as required
• Support cycle count program to determine Root Cause and implement Corrective Action for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.
• Determines and documents work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
• Works with Buyers to resolve invoicing and receipt issues
• Manage department to planned budget
• Review and coordinates logistics on both import and export of goods with Supply Chain.
• Works closely with Sales/Customer service to support customer orders and requests
• Schedule flexibility to support critical deadlines may be required.
