Job Summary

This position oversees the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance activities of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including industrial batteries.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Proficient in electrical meter testing and controls (AC & DC)
  • Knowledge of PLCs, motors, motor starters, contactors, relays, and electrical repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance on MHE, including checks, repairs, and safety inspections
  • Understand hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems of equipment
  • Assist with battery maintenance and repairs
  • Participate in on-call programs and log maintenance activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas and tools
  • Respond to emergencies and promote safety culture
  • Comply with OSHA and other regulations
  • Train and mentor junior technicians
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED; technical schooling preferred
  • Six years of MHE maintenance experience or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and liability coverage
  • Certifications: Defensive driving, Powered Industrial Equipment, MHE maintenance, electrical training
  • Skills: Technical reading, basic math, safety awareness
Physical and Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in various environmental conditions
  • Non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
