Job summary

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits in Santa Fe Springs, CA, seeks a technical expert for automated warehouse systems. You will oversee the implementation and maintenance of new warehouse equipment, monitor KPIs, and ensure operations are uninterrupted while coaching a team of maintenance workers.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 2 years of related experience; OSHA training or EIT/CTP/PMP certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
• OSHA training/certification, Engineer in Training (EIT), Certified Technical Professional (CTP), Professional Management professional (PMP).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft suites; safety programs knowledge including electrical, fire safety, IPE and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of new warehouse equipment and technologies.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure new technologies perform as expected.
• Ensure automated warehouse systems are maintained and operational at all times.
• Develop and implement robust preventative maintenance for automation and conveyors.
• Coach and manage a team of maintenance employees.
• Train staff on use of automated warehouse systems.
• Plan and oversee maintenance/repair work; manage emergencies.
• Order and receive supplies; maintain inventories.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

2 years of experience or equivalent education and related industry experience

Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $98,900 - $131,050 a year plus bonus potential. This salary range is an average range for this position. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.

Overview

Serves as the technical expert for the implementation and maintenance of automated warehouse systems and supervises a team of maintenance workers to maintain automated systems and building operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of new warehouse equipment and technologies
• Monitor key performance indicators and evaluate that new technologies are performing according to expectations
• Ensure automated warehouse systems are maintained and operational at all times
• Ensure robust preventative maintenance system is in place for all facets of the automation, conveyors, and related systems
• Coach, counsel, and manage a team of employees
• Train direct reports and other warehouse staff on the use of automated warehouse systems
• Plan and oversee all maintenance and repair work and develop an efficient system for dealing with emergency repair problems
• Order and receive supplies and equipment and maintain necessary inventories
• Ability to work varying hours and shifts as required to maintain operations
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 2 years of experience or equivalent education and related industry experience.

Preferred Courses/certifications Include

• OSHA training/certification
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
• Certified Technical Professional (CTP)

Physical Qualifications

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 50lbs
