GoMulch Landscaper Depots is seeking a hands-on Yard Employee to join our family-oriented, growing team. This full-time, hourly role supports day-to-day operations inside the store and out in the yard, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will operate forklifts and bucket loaders, assist customers, help with inventory, and ensure safety and cleanliness to provide a positive shopping experience. Monday–Friday 7 AM–5 PM, Saturday 8 AM–12 Noon, no nights.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 1-3 years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record; forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and bucket loader to move material and support yard and store operations.
• Interface with customers to fulfill orders in a helpful and professional manner.
• Perform daily safety checks and maintenance on equipment (forklifts, bucket loaders, trucks).
• Assist with routine inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Deliver products to customer locations using the company delivery truck (CDL not required).
• Maintain store and yard housekeeping to provide a safe, professional shopping experience.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Immediate Supervisor: Store Manager

Status: Full-time; Hourly

Key Results:

Reports to the store manager to support day-to-day safety, sales, profitability and operation of a GoMulch wholesale/retail landscaper depot location. Operates a JCB forklift/loader machine (or similar) and provide superior customer satisfaction.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complies with the ALL4Zero Safety Program, establishing the vision of a zero-injury culture.


• Complies with company policies and procedures.


• This is a hands-on position. The Yard Employee will work both inside the store and outside in the yard to meet customer expectations.


• Performs daily Safety/PM checks to maintain equipment and machinery such as forklifts, bucket loaders, delivery trucks and office equipment.


• Responsible for the housekeeping/cleanliness of the store and yard to provide a safe, professional and positive shopping experience for customers.


• Interfaces with customers to fulfill orders in a helpful and professional manner.


• Assist the store manager in performing routine inventory counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.


• Delivers products to customer locations using the company delivery truck (CDL license is not required).


• Able to operate forklift and bucket loader to move material from one location to another.


• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Experience and Education:

• High School diploma or GED or 1-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Certificate, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Florida driver’s license and good driving record required. Forklift certification is preferred.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and other policy and procedures. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.


• Command of the English language is mandatory. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Work hours are Monday-Friday: 7 AM-5 PM and Saturday: 8 AM-12 Noon.


• The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.


• The employee is required to frequently stand use hands to finger; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel; crouch or crawl.


• The employee must have the capability to lift 50 lbs.


• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• While performing he duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions (sun, heat and dust).


• Noise levels are usually moderate but may be loud at times when working near machinery.
