Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support the flow of materials on site and in the warehouse in Nevada. You will move items, lift up to 80 pounds, and help maintain accurate records of shipments.

Under supervision, you will operate motorized and non-motorized equipment, train newer staff in handling techniques and safety, and contribute to a safety-minded culture. BFS emphasizes growth, teamwork, and hands-on skill development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of materials handling experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Manual dexterity and safety awareness.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Physically handles materials to optimize movement on premises; lifts, carries, stacks items as needed.
• Operates motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Records movement of incoming and outgoing materials and verifies accuracy of work.
• Trains new materials employees in tasks and safety guidelines and procedures.
• Adheres to safety procedures, attends safety meetings, and suggests safety improvements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
