Villari Foods is seeking a day-shift Shipping Associate with forklift experience to join a cold-temperature warehouse environment. You will ship/receive, check products, and manage inventory, with opportunities for overtime and internal promotion.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year operating a stand-up reach truck, strong accuracy, and reliable attendance. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous development within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience operating a stand-up reach truck or powered industrial truck (PIV).
• Experience with stand-up lifts and riding pallets jacks
• Flexibility with work hours

Responsibilities

• Operate Reach Trucks: Safely drive and maneuver stand-up reach trucks in tight aisles and work comfortably at elevated rack heights.

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections on the reach truck (checking brakes, steering, hydraulics, and battery charging).
• Warehouse Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean work area, manage shrink-wrapping or banding, and follow OSHA and facility safety guidelines.

Villari Foods is currently seeking hard-working, disciplined individuals with previous forklift training to join our day-shift team. While the physical work environment is cold (our warehouse is kept at freezer temperatures for the preservation of the meat), our Shipping Department provides a warm opportunity for continuous development, cross-training, and promotion from within the company.

Primary job duties of our Shipping Associates include shipping and receiving, checking products, and inventory control. If you have experience as a forklift operator and/or warehouse training, are an effective communicator that can work independently and coordinate with others, and enjoy a warehouse work environment, apply today! A Material Handler with a Stand-Up Reach Truck is responsible for moving, storing, and retrieving inventory at elevated heights in a warehouse using specialized narrow-aisle lifting equipment.

Core Responsibilities

Physical requirements and work environment

• The work environment will include cold temperatures between 50℉ to 10℉ (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals Villari does provide cold-weather gear!


• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud


• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds


• Able to drive a registered motor vehicle to satisfy daily requirements


• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
