Job summary

Schwing America is seeking a hardworking Material Handler to keep production lines supplied with parts and to support shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations.

You will pull orders, unload materials, stock inventory, and ensure accurate packing and shipping documentation. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years in warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution.
  • Forklift experience with certification preferred.
  • Proficient computers for inventory and work orders.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Pull and deliver parts to production based on work orders and schedules.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, and distribute incoming materials.
  • Package, crate, and prepare domestic spare parts for shipment.
  • Verify bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping docs.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers using forklifts and other equipment.
  • Stock inventory and maintain warehouse locations.
  • Create storage locations for new inventory items.
  • Notify production of incoming materials and fulfill backorders quickly.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse.
  • Collaborate with Production, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory teams to stay efficient.

Schwing America is looking for a Material Handler to join our team! In this role, you'll help ensure our production lines have the parts they need while supporting shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse operations.

What You'll Do
  • Pull and deliver parts to production based on work orders and production schedules.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, and distribute incoming materials throughout the facility.
  • Package, crate, and prepare domestic spare parts for shipment.
  • Verify bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
  • Load and unload trucks and shipping containers using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Stock inventory and maintain accurate warehouse locations.
  • Create storage locations for new inventory items.
  • Notify production of incoming materials and fulfill backorders quickly.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse.
  • Work closely with Production, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory teams to keep operations running efficiently.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three or more years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or distribution experience.
  • Forklift experience (certification preferred).
  • Experience pulling orders, stocking inventory, and loading/unloading trucks.
  • Comfortable using computers to access inventory, shipping information, and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Work indoors approximately 85% of the time and outdoors 15% of the time in various weather conditions.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
