Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Permanent Full Time Material Handler for our Riverside, CA facility. You will operate powered equipment, load/unload trailers, and pick/pack orders in a safety-focused environment with state-of-the-art equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Learn to operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up/sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks) including maintenance.
• May operate other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (packaging line) as intermediate preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification.
• Ability to read and do basic mathematics in English for safety and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers; ensure scanning is correct; help train dock employees; ensure facility is secure at end of shift; resolve scanning issues and housekeeping; picking and packing duties; check for product damage.
• Perform tasks per location policies to handle materials and related transactions.
• Perform material moves with associated transactions as required.
• Participate in workgroup activities to improve warehouse operations.
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
