Job summary

The WebstaurantStore Food Service Equipment and Supply Company is seeking a Material Handler to unload, receive, stock, pick, pack, and ship inventory in our warehouse. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, use ERP and handheld scanners, and ensure accurate, timely processing of orders.

Responsibilities

• Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment or unload imports by hand.
• Use ERP system to receive inventory accurately and efficiently.
• Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift to organize the receiving dock.
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations using scanners and ERP system.
• Retrieve items from racking using scanners and ERP system.
• Sort and consolidate picked items for shipment processing.
• Pack products accurately using internal SPS system for customer orders.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners and computers per safety protocols.
• Meet performance standards for efficiency, accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report hazards.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily/weekly/monthly goals.
• Follow company and warehouse policies and flex into other duties as needed.

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for unloading, checking in, stocking, picking, consolidating, packing, and shipping inventory in the warehouse. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations. This position requires the use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.

Responsibilities

• Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
• Use our ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiently, ready to be placed in storage racking
• Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the Distribution Center
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations
• Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
• Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
• Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
• Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
