Job summary

WebstaurantStore Food Service Equipment and Supply Company is seeking a Material Handler to unload, check in, stock, pick, consolidate, pack and ship inventory in the warehouse.

The role requires operating warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks, using ERP systems, and maintaining safety and accuracy in daily tasks. H-1B sponsorship is not available and only W-2 candidates are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment or unload import containers by hand.
• Use our ERP system to receive inventory accurately and efficiently, ready to be stored.
• Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift to organize receiving or distribute to DC areas.
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations with handheld devices and ERP systems.
• Retrieve items from racking using handheld scanners and ERP, via walking or forklift operations.
• Sort and consolidate picked items for shipment preparation and customer orders.
• Pack products accurately using our SPS system to ensure a great customer experience.
• Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, computers) following safety guidelines.
• Meet daily, weekly, monthly performance standards for efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and report hazards to leadership.
• Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals and abide by policies.
• Flex into other positions as needed to support overall operations.

Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for unloading, checking in, stocking, picking, consolidating, packing, and shipping inventory in the warehouse. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations. This position requires the use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.

We only accept W-2 candidates, H-1B sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
• Use our ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiently, ready to be placed in storage racking
• Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the Distribution Center
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations
• Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
• Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
• Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
• Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
