Job SummaryThe Material Handler / Water Spider is responsible for the movement, delivery, and staging of materials to support continuous production and operational flow. This role ensures workstations remain stocked, production is uninterrupted, and materials are handled efficiently from receiving through final use.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver materials, parts, and supplies to production lines or workstations based on demandProactively monitor inventory levels at stations and replenish before shortages occurTransport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facilityLoad, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or other equipmentRemove scrap and empty containers from production areasStage materials for upcoming production runsAssist with receiving, inspecting, and putting away incoming shipmentsPerform cycle counts and report inventory discrepanciesMaintain clean, organized work areas following 5S and safety standardsSupport line setups, changeovers, and overall production efficiencyCommunicate with production, warehouse, and supervisors to prioritize workflowFollow all safety policies and proper material handling proceduresQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience in warehouse, manufacturing, or material support role preferredForklift or material handling equipment certification (or ability to obtain)Familiarity with inventory systemsUnderstanding of lean manufacturing concepts preferredStrong attention to detail and ability to multitaskPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyFrequent walking, standing, bending, and pushing/pulling materialsAbility to work in a fast-paced, physically active environmentWork EnvironmentWarehouse or manufacturing settingExposure to moving equipment, noise, and varying temperaturesKey SkillsSense of urgency and time managementOrganization and inventory awarenessCommunication and teamworkProblem-solving and anticipation of needsReliability and dependabilityPerformance MetricsOn-time material delivery to linesReduction in production downtimeInventory accuracyEfficiency of material flow and replenishmentAdherence to safety and 5S standards
