GENERAL SUMMARY
As a Material Handler, you will support our warehouse and production operations by safely and efficiently handling materials. This role involves operating powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and experienced in warehouse logistics and material handling.
QUALIFICATION
- At least one year of powered industrial truck experience required.
- At least one year of experience with supply chain, production floor, or related experience working with quality control systems, of preferably in a GMP/ISO/HACCP environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Excellent ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- General mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to type and work on a computer.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
- Excellent written/oral communication skills required. Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Physical Demands
- Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
- Typically, employees sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives.
- Required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard.
- Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
Working Conditions
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
- Utilize powered industrial truck and pallet jack to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
- Receives credit-return material and supplies by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity, placing materials in stock.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, loading, and securing product.
- Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
- Familiarity with use of hand-scanner and WMS to facilitate all inventory actions.
- Attends and participates in departmental meetings.
- Attends seminars and training sessions necessary to maintain appropriate level of professional competence.
- Ensures all department compliance guidelines are met.
- Follow evidence base standards of medical care through adherence to existing policies and procedures.
- Attends all meetings, in-services training, or continuing education as delegated by the supervisor.
- Provides customer focused interactions.
- Performs all duties necessary for the department as per department policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor within the scope of practice and the responsibilities in the department.
