Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Bethel, Alaska is seeking a rugged, safety-minded handler responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to move packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and ULDs.

You will assist with pallet buildup and breakdown, coordinate with vendors, and ensure tasks are completed with attention to safety. A valid driver’s license is required for operating motorized conveyances; no formal education or experience is required.

Role Overview: Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to move packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and ULDs. Assists with pallet buildup and breakdown of heavyweight freight and acts as a liaison with ULD repair vendors as needed.

Qualifications and Skills: No formal education or experience required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from ground to chest level and maneuver packages over 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment or assistance. Capable of walking, standing, bending, squatting, and working in all weather conditions. Able to climb stairs and ladders, maneuver packages above shoulder and head level, and work in confined spaces. Must complete all necessary training and communicate effectively in noisy environments. Valid driver’s license required for operating motorized conveyances.

Key Duties: Operate equipment safely, assist with freight handling, coordinate with vendors, and perform assigned tasks in a safety-conscious manner. This is a non-safety-sensitive position, with a drug screening requirement.
