Description

Morgan Steel, LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Processor / Material Handler to join our steel manufacturing warehouse in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling, processing, and moving steel materials efficiently and safely. This role requires the ability to read a tape measure accurately, operate material-handling equipment, and follow safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and tape measures to ensure accurate material processing.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment to move steel products.
  • Cut, process, and prepare steel materials according to specifications.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure materials meet required standards.
  • Load and unload trucks, verifying shipments for accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to prevent accidents.
  • Assist with inventory control and cycle counting as needed.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or steel manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other heavy equipment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
