Job summary

Doppelmayr USA, Inc. is seeking a temporary Material Handler to join our Logistics team in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on loading/unloading trucks, picking/packing orders, and staging shipments with accuracy and care to ensure on-time, undamaged deliveries.

You will operate sit-down and/or narrow-aisle forklifts, maintain clean work areas, and follow safety procedures during all duties. This full-time temporary position runs through October with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience operating sit-down and/or narrow-aisle forklift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks following safety and operational procedures.

We are currently seeking a temporary Material Handler to join our dedicated Logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that inventory is handled with care and precision. You will also play a key part in picking and packing orders, staging them for shipment, and completing shop orders in our system with accuracy and attention to detail. Your contributions will directly impact the smooth flow of operations, ensuring that shipments are prepared on time and in excellent condition.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all warehousing functions while following established safety and operational procedures.
• Carefully load trucks to support smooth and on‑time outbound shipments, helping keep our operations running efficiently.
• Pick and pack inventory according to shop orders with 100% accuracy and efficiency.
• Label, palletize, and stage inbound and outbound materials accurately.
• Put away and store inventory in proper locations following first in first out procedures.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate and report discrepancies as needed.
• Perform required housekeeping to keep work areas clean, such as sweeping floors, putting trash into containers, and picking stray product up from the floor.
• Stacking, strapping and preparing pallets for shipment.
• Lift, secure, and move materials using various types of forklifts.
• Perform other duties as required.

Your Profile

• Minimum of 1‑year of experience in warehouse environment.
• Minimum of 1‑year operating sit down and or narrow isle forklift.
• Familiar with Windows based computer programs.
• Able to organize and stage materials for orders and field assemblies.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Accountable and self‑motivated.
• Able to read, understand, and follow safety procedures.
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift.
• Must be able to lift and manipulate 50 lbs.
• High attention to detail

This position is full‑time through October, Monday‑Friday schedule. Some overtime will be required when deadlines are imminent including but not limited to working Saturday’s. The warehouse environment is both indoor and outdoor, requiring work in all weather conditions, including precipitation, extreme temperatures, high winds, and turbulent conditions.
