Job summary

Chemelex LLC is seeking a warehouse associate in Redwood City to receive, ship, verify, locate, and transport material used in manufacturing. You will help ensure uninterrupted production flow by moving materials, performing picks, and maintaining accurate records.

The role requires operating power industrial equipment, using an RF scanner, and adhering to safety PPE standards. Independence and teamwork are both essential to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Work in SAP or equivalent ERP system desirable.
• Capable of working and participating on cross-functional teams.
• Flexible enough to do multiple tasks and can recognize when help is needed in other areas.
• Accountable for personal and team goals.
• Must either have prior forklift training or be able to receive forklift training.
• Must communicate well with others.

Responsibilities

• Notifies Supervisor or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
• Maintains equipment including safety check sheets.
• Execute picks for internal delivery to production cells.
• Pack, load and unload a variety of conveyances.
• Move material within the warehouse and manufacturing plant.
• Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
• Perform material movement and record all moves to proper location.
• Operate power industrial equipment (e.g. Tugger, Stand-up, sit-down, order picker and forklift trucks).
• Validate order accuracy prior to delivery to production cells.
• Complete daily inspections and record any unsafe conditions on power industrial equipment.
• Operate an RF Smart scanner.
• Must be able to work independently and with team.
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by work area, such as safety glasses, earplugs, hard hats, gloves and steel toe shoes.
• Deal with complexity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to stand for entire shift of 8 hours, work overtime and weekends to meet business demands.

POSITION SUMMARY

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.This position requires pulling, lifting, and pushing steel coil material of 30lb force.
• Frequent use of material handling equipment indoor and outdoor throughout the day.
• Must be able to stand for entire shift of 8 hours, work overtime and weekends to meet business demands.
