Job summary

The Job Shop is hiring a Material Handler to move steel coils and materials in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Pay is $20.51 per hour, with weekly pay and shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts; training is provided on 1st shift.

Multiple shifts available with a focus on safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include transporting materials, loading/unloading shipments, stocking lines, and ensuring accurate inventory and documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Overhead crane experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and material labels.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport steel coils, finished products, and raw materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload shipments using forklifts, cranes; training provided as needed.
• Supply production lines with materials for efficient workflow.
• Verify material IDs, quantities, and locations before moving.
• Assist staging customer orders for shipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory through material tracking and documentation.
• Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies.
• Keep warehouse and production areas clean and safe.
• Follow company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and quality standards.
• Assist production, shipping, and receiving as needed.

Position Summary

This position plays a vital role in the movement, storage, and handling of steel coils and processed materials throughout our production facility. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes pride in maintaining an organized work area, and is committed to quality and safety.

Essential Responsibilities

• Safely transport steel coils, finished products, and raw materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment (training provided as needed).
• Supply production lines with materials while ensuring efficient workflow.
• Verify material identification, quantities, and locations before moving product.
• Assist with staging customer orders for shipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory through proper material tracking and documentation.
• Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies to supervisors.
• Keep warehouse and production areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and quality standards.
