Aerotek is hiring a Material Handler in Everett, WA to safely move, store, and track materials across the facility. You will support shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy using ERP systems and material handling equipment.

Requires 2+ years in material handling, forklift certification, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Onsite contract role with standard shift options and overtime as needed.

Pay : $24.00 - $26.40/hr

Shift : 6am - 2:30pm (Mon-Fri)

Shift : 2pm - 10:30pm (Mon-Fri)

Job Description

The Material Handler supports production and operations by safely moving, storing, and tracking materials throughout the facility. This role ensures that shipping, receiving, and storage areas remain organized, materials are properly packaged and documented, and inventory records in the companys ERP system are accurate and up to date. The Material Handler operates material handling equipment, assists with truck loading and unloading, and collaborates closely with multiple departments to keep material flow efficient and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and communicate with Production, Operations, and Engineering teams to move parts and materials in support of daily operations.
• Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled storage locations across shipping, receiving, and storage areas.
• Verify that all materials are properly packaged, banded, and secured for safe transport.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with Shipping and Receiving, Purchasing, and other related departments to resolve issues related to material distribution and flow.
• Update material storage and inventory records within the companys ERP software to maintain accurate and timely data.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts, in a safe and compliant manner.
• Follow established procedures for material handling, storage, and documentation to support quality and operational standards.
• Support inventory control activities by helping to track, count, and reconcile materials as needed.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines while performing lifting, carrying, and other physical tasks required for material movement.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of related experience in material handling, shipping, receiving, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in material handling practices, including safe movement, storage, and packaging of materials.
• Experience using ERP systems to update and maintain material storage and inventory records.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with Production, Operations, Engineering, Shipping and Receiving, and Purchasing.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain clean and orderly storage areas.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying.
• Willingness to work in an open-aired environment without temperature controls.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts.
• Basic understanding of inventory processes and material flow in a warehouse or production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite ERP software.
• Current or recent forklift operation experience and up-to-date forklift certification.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes in a clean warehouse environment.
• Comfort working in a dynamic, start-up environment where processes continue to evolve.
• Attention to detail when verifying packaging, banding, and documentation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing operational needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Everett, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.40/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
