Job summary

SRC Holdings Corporation is seeking a Material Handler in Missouri to organize, sort, and move core material in the warehouse. You will use forklift/pallet jack equipment to transport freight and ensure materials meet Customer timeframes.

The role emphasizes safety, proper disposal of packaging, and maintaining an orderly work area. The position runs Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a starting pay of $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Competent oral and written communication skills.
• Competent addition and subtraction math skills.
• Competent literacy skills to accurately read tags without transposing part numbers.
• Forklift experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all warehouse safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine material needs.
• Move freight and materials using a forklift and/or pallet jack.
• Load and unload materials from inspection lines with occasional hoist use.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.

The Material Handler is responsible for organizing, sorting, prioritizing, and moving core material throughout the warehouse to ensure product is processed within the Customer's specified timeframes. The Material Handler uses various material-handling equipment to safely transport freight, stock, and other materials to and from staging and processing areas. This position is also responsible for maintaining an organized work area and coordinating the disposal or re-use of packaging and other materials that accumulate throughout the material-handling process.

• Adhere to all warehouse safety guidelines, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements to prevent incidents or injury to self or others
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
• Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from staging and processing areas using a forklift and/or pallet jack in the warehouse
• Load and unload materials from inspection lines and other processing areas while periodically using a hoist
• Determine placement of material based on labels or other markings
• Collect, sort, and properly dispose of or coordinate the re-use of packaging, trash, and other materials that accumulate throughout the loading and unloading process
• Maintain an organized and clean work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Work is performed mostly in an uncontrolled warehouse atmosphere with exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. This employee must demonstrate continued knowledge of Haz/Com regulations and requirements. All employees must follow safety standards and wear all required personal protective equipment in designated areas.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk and hear. Standing 90%, Walking/sitting 10%. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly is required.
