Job summary

Gunderson Rail Services, LLC in Chehalis, WA seeks a Material Handler to verify shipments and move materials within the plant and yard. The role involves loading, unloading, inventory recording, and following work orders to pull materials for production.

The position requires forklift experience, adherence to EHS rules, and the ability to operate material-handling equipment. Strong teamwork and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in forklift operations.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and teamwork.
• Ability to operate equipment used in handling of materials.
• Ability to follow oral and written instruction.
• Ability to wear PPE including steel toe boots, goggles, ear plugs, gloves.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate professionally at all levels.
• Ability to organize and prioritize projects and information with accuracy under tight timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Follows all EHS rules and regulations.
• Safely loads and unloads materials onto form pallets, trays, racks and shelves.
• Compares identifying information and counts of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Records receipt of incoming materials and equipment.
• Ensures materials are separated and stored in appropriate locations.
• Documents and enters inventory information into the computer system.
• Reads and interprets work orders to determine materials to pull.
• Moves materials from storage to work site per work orders.
• Performs cycle counting and physical inventories.
• Uses hand tools to open containers.
