Job summary

McWilliams Forge, located in New Jersey, seeks a diligent Material Handler to support production by moving, organizing, packaging, and shipping materials. You will ensure accurate outbound shipments and proper packaging to protect finished parts.

Responsibilities include staging parts, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, recording movements in inventory systems, and communicating with supervisors to prioritize tasks and resolve shortages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items safely.

Responsibilities

• Material Movement: Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods between workstations, storage areas, and shipping/receiving.
• Inventory & Staging: Stage parts and materials for upcoming jobs to minimize downtime.
• Packaging & Shipping: Prepare finished parts for shipment, including proper packaging to prevent damage.
• Shop Support: Assist with chip removal and coolant recycling; maintain cleanliness of the shop floor.
• Documentation & Communication: Record material movements accurately in inventory systems and communicate with supervisors to prioritize tasks.
