Job summary

Warehouse Services Logistics LLC in Piedmont, SC is seeking a full-time Material Handler/Shipping and Receiving Clerk on-site. You will receive, inspect, store and ship material, maintain logs, and support data entry with strong MS Office skills.

• Experience handling, clerical and data entry tasks.
• Strong MS Office skills required (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of export documentation and national accounts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates material handling equipment to receive, store, process orders, and ship material.
• Performs receiving and shipping inspections verifying quantity, damage, and documentation.
• Maintains inbound and outbound logs and reports; updates WMS for shipments.
• Performs cycle counts and inventory checks to control stock.
• Coordinates with carriers for inbound appointments and outbound schedules.
• Responds to emails, maintains files and data entry; supports customer relations.

Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision, performs a variety of assignments, both technical and clerical, to receive, inspect, store and ship material, but not limited to receipt, control, preparation, material distribution, records, and reports. Receives general direction on new assignment aspects and instructions as to how to perform required tasks and results expected. Duties require manual, clerical, and data entry skills.

• Operates material handling equipment as required to receive, store, process orders, and ship material.
• Performs receiving and shipping inspections and identifies all incoming and outgoing material shipments to determine: a) quantity is as ordered b) no damage is apparent, and c) documentation is available as required.
• Performs physical material inventories to establish, maintain, and document the receipt, shipment and control of sample inventories.
• Maintains inbound and outbound logs and reports.
• Maintains WMS update on all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Performs load planning based on pre-established criteria.
• Contact with carriers for inbound appointments.
• Contact with carriers with outbound schedules.
• Investigation of complaints and development of RCCA.
• Generations of OS & D.
• Performs cycle counts and checks inventories.
• Check, maintains and responds to E-Mail.
• Maintain files, data entry, answer and direct incoming calls.
• Customer relations.
• Must have strong skills with the use of Microsoft Office Programs.
• Knowledge of national accounts and especially export documentation
