Job summary

PPG is hiring a Material Handler in Kennesaw, GA. Starting pay is $22.12 per hour with 7:00AM-3:30PM on first shift and 1:00PM-9:30PM on second shift; OT and weekends as needed. Training on the first shift is required to begin.

Ideal candidates will have warehouse/manufacturing experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Background checks apply for regulatory access; U.S. citizens or eligible residents only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work will be in warehouse doing functions such as: receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
• Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Operates gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc.
