Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Material Handler, Service Delivery to load, unload, and process hazardous and nonhazardous waste materials at our service center in the United States. You will operate under supervision, following strict safety protocols and regulatory requirements to protect people and the environment.

The role requires a high-school diploma and at least 1 year of related experience. You will contribute to safe waste handling, participate in spill cleanup, and perform routine

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads and processes solid and liquid waste safely in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local rules and regulations.
• Performs basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed.
• Performs chemical compatibility checks to prevent reactions and other issues.
• Utilizes barcode system equipment to document certain inventory activities.
• Utilizes knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, OSHA and permit regulations.
• Uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed including boots, gloves, suits, eye/ear protection and a respirator.
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
• Be willing to work two Saturdays per month when needed.

Material Handler, Service Delivery

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and consistently maintaining safe practices
• Loads, unloads and processes solid and liquid waste safely in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local rules and regulations
• Performs basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed
• Perform chemical compatibility checks to prevent reactions and other issues
