Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is seeking a team member to process donated merchandise for resale to salvage vendors. The role requires adherence to safety rules and the use of required PPE.

You may be cross-trained as a Retail Sales Associate and/or Forklift Operator, with responsibilities including receiving, inspecting, and organizing donated items at our Phoenix facility. Starting pay is $15.15 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including life insurance, vacation/sick

• Must be able to be trained and follow directions.
• Ability to read and speak English proficiently.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

Responsibilities

• Processes donated merchandise for sale to salvage vendors and affiliated entities.
• Inspects donated merchandise to determine quality and category.
• Safeguards company property and reports theft or misuse.
• May cross-train as Retail Sales Associate and/or Forklift Operator.
• Receives and processes merchandise.
• Maintains organized and safe workstation.
• Keeps work area clean and safe, including restrooms, floors, walls, and parking lots.

Position Description

Processes required amount of donated merchandise in preparation for sale to salvage vendors for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Meets minimum quota set for assigned department.
• Inspects donated merchandise, as required, analyzing quality and determining proper category.
• Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or misappropriation or unauthorized possession of company property.
• May be cross-trained to work as a Retail Sales Associate and/or Forklift Operator.
• Receives and processes merchandise.
• Maintains workstation in an organized and safe manner free from food, drink, or other personal items.
• Maintains a clean work environment, including restrooms, floors, walls, windows, and parking lots, as directed.
• Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used. Immediately takes action and/or reports any unsafe or potential hazards.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

• Performs other related duties, as assigned.
