Job summary

Nox Metals in Detroit, MI is seeking a Material Handler to move aluminum plate, bar, and rounds on day shift. You will operate a forklift, verify inbound material, and stage shipments while maintaining safety and accurate records in our software systems.

Ideal candidates are safety-focused, have forklift experience or are willing to become certified, and are eager to grow into bandsaw and broader metals operations. This is a full-time, on-site role in Detroit.

Qualifications

• Must follow OSHA safety protocols and PPE.
• Experience operating a forklift or willingness to get certified.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a full shift.
• Detail-oriented with accurate record-keeping in software.
• Willingness to learn bandsaw and metals operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to receive, stage, and move aluminum products.
• Load and unload trucks safely.
• Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders.
• Package, label, and stage outbound shipments.
• Record material movements in our software.
• Keep the floor clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Learn baseline bandsaw and metals equipment as you grow.
