Job summary

GAF in Georgetown, Texas is seeking a Material Handler to safely load/unload trucks, pick orders, verify accuracy, and prepare shipments. The role requires operating forklifts, maintaining certifications, and collaborating with logistics staff to meet safety and quality goals.

The ideal candidate will support inventory control, follow SOPs, and participate in continuous improvement while maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years' experience in a fast paced logistics environment preferred.
• Experience supporting logistics, customer care and business goals required.
• Ability to work all shifts including occasional nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Practice incident and accident prevention in all activities.
• Maintain fork-truck certification through in-house training and daily checks.
• Replaces the forklift LP tanks as needed.
• Troubleshoots issues and communicates with maintenance, Shipper/Receiver and Logistics Planner.
• Loads, unloads, and handles order picking and packing tasks.
• Follows FIFO principles and prepares goods for shipping.
• Verifies quantities by counting and signing documents.
• Participates in cycle counting and supports inventory deadlines.
• Maintains housekeeping and safety in all work areas.
