Job summary

Distribution International is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to support warehouse operations. You will pick orders with RF scanning, move products with a forklift or pallet jack, and assist with loading, unloading, and packing to prevent damage during transit.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification (or willingness to obtain), and prior warehouse experience. Local travel is expected with a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• If operating a Company Vehicle, a valid driver’s license will be required.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification or willing to be certified.
• RF scanning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders using an RF scanning gun.
• Move product and material using a forklift or pallet jack.
• Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools.
• Manually load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, shelves, or trucks and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Convey materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, or another device.
• Ensure a clean work area and maintain machines and equipment using a broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
• Actively participate in periodic workplace safety learning sessions.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.
