Highlights of the Role:

In the role of Material Handler - PT Weekends in Shenandoah, VA, you will operate a forklift while continually investigating methods to improve processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and load quality products. Shifts are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday, from 6:48 am to 7:00 pm for day shift, and 6:48 pm to 7:00 am for night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fill orders accurately and efficiently using the inventory system.
  • Maintain accurate and legible documentation and records.
  • Utilize forklift to move materials and finished products.
  • Perform daily forklift checklists at the beginning of each shift.
  • Check battery hydrometer and change batteries as needed.
  • Load and unload products and materials from trucks, railcars, and warehouse.
  • Change stretch wrapping machines several times daily.
  • Move and sort pallets.
  • Utilize RF units and SAP system.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment through housekeeping.
  • Coordinate activities with maintenance and other specialists.
  • Assist management with process changes and SOP adjustments.
  • Prioritize safety and quality in all tasks.
  • Adhere to schedules and make informed business decisions during shifts.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift license.
  • Knowledge of RF devices and warehouse inventory systems.
  • 1-3 years of warehouse experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and make decisions collaboratively.
  • Availability to work full-time, including weekends and holidays, and be called for emergency coverage.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, climb, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. The environment is typically loud.
